Kaiser Chiefs front man, Ricky Wilson, swapped singing for selling seaweed at The Natural and Organic Products show on Sunday. Joining us on the stand, Ricky grabbed his apron and got stuck in, offering samples of Weed & Wonderful seaweed infused oils to attendants of the huge trade show.

Sustainable Scottish Seaweed

Held at London ExCel the event attracts over 10,000 retailers, distributors and foodie fanatics all looking for unique natural and organic products. Visitors were amazed at our level of commitment to quality, traceability and research from sea to store! Not only for our PureSea® seaweed ingredients, supplied into the likes of M&S and PepsiCo, but also for the Weed & Wonderful range.
From sea to store – seaweed is on everyone’s lips
Our very own Dr Craig Rose (aka Doctor Seaweed) took to the stage as an invited speaker for the natural food talks.

“Seaweed isn’t weird…it’s wonderful and a forgotten food, that has been critical in the evolution of modern cultures, food and nutrition. For several years now, seaweed has been billed as the food trend of the year, yet many consumers still just think of sushi and other Asian foods. But seaweed is far more prolific than many think and is here to stay. For good reason, seaweed is increasingly in the consumer’s mind as natural, healthy and sustainable, spanning multiple categories and with much more to come…”
Seaweed on the menu?
It was also great to see interest from chefs who are keen to make sustainable seaweed a mainstream component of menus, not only for important health benefits but spectacular flavour as well!
